Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards pulled off an incredible dunk vs. the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night, throwing himself a lob off the backboard and finishing with two hands:

When asked about this play after the game, Edwards said, "Nobody was open, so I did a little snatch-back and pump-fake, and he bit on the pump fake. I was looking for somebody and nobody was open, so I was like - I've seen somebody do it at the All-Star game, so I'm gonna try it."

There are not many players in the NBA who could have pulled that play off, but Edwards is certainly one of the league's best athletes. As he describes it, there was nobody open, so he wanted to try the play out after having seen it in the All-Star game. There weren't many options for Edwards after he picked up his dribble, so rather than forcing a contested shot, he opted for the self lob off the glass.

One of the most electrifying players in the NBA, Edwards had the crowd stunned with this play. The Timberwolves bench went crazy, as nobody saw that play coming. The Timberwolves went on the defeat the shorthanded Grizzlies to strengthen their grip on the first seed in the Western Conference.

With a player like Edwards, the Timberwolves have a chance to be good for a long time.
