Former Grizzlies Star Gets Honest About Ja Morant

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is counting down the games until he can return from his 25-game suspension. While nobody is more exciting for this return than Morant and the Grizzlies, the NBA world also wants to see him back on the court.

Speaking with reporters while in Memphis to face the Morant-less Grizzlies, former Grizzlies star and current Timberwolves veteran Mike Conley got honest about Morant, saying, "He’s a young man who’s learning his way. I’m sure he’s growing up and doing what he needs to do to get back on the court and redeem himself on that end. I think we’re all waiting for him to get back. He’s good for our league."

Having spent 12 seasons with the Grizzlies, Conley is a legend in Memphis. The Grizzlies' all-time leader in games, points, assists, steals, and other major categories, Conley's words on Morant mean a lot - especially to Grizzlies fans. Always appreciative of what Conley meant to their organization, Grizzlies fans can certainly enjoy seeing his support of their franchise player.

Still a productive NBA starter, Conley continues to be a high level point guard even at age 36. An All-Star at his peak, Conley has remained one of the most steady play imitators in the game, which is very impressive considering how long he has been in the NBA.
