NBA Legend Shares Harsh Truth for Ja Morant

In this story:
During a recent appearance on VladTV, NBA Legend Dominique Wilkins spoke on Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant.
"I know Ja and his dad very well," Wilkins said. "If I could give him anything, it's that you don't need all of these people around to validate who you are. You gotta be able to stand on your own two feet, because I don't know no friend I got that I'm willing to give up $70M for. To be down. I don't understand that. Because you fight so hard to get out of that mentality, to do something bigger than yourself. To do some of the things that he's done this year, it just don't make sense. And you put yourself at risk, because if you lose everything, watch how many people that's gonna be around. Your friends are gonna be few and far between."
Like so many others, Wilkins wants what is best for Morant. While the Grizzlies star has received a lot of criticism, most people in and around the NBA want to see him get back on track. For Wilkins, he believes Morant might be seeking validation that he doesn't need to be seeking.
After he serves his 25-game suspension, Morant has an opportunity to rejoin the Grizzlies and put all of his issues behind him while beginning a new chapter.
