Fellow Miami Native Antonio Brown Joins In On Udonis Haslem Celebration

In this story:
Former NFL’s controversial star Antonio Brown was the latest person to congratulate Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem upon his retirement.
On Tuesday, Brown took to Twitter and gave Haslem his flowers.
“Congrats @ThisIsUD OG of miami on and off the court ! My Grand dad WOP Brown and his dad Jonnie Haslem played basketball together at Miami Northwestern pioneered for greatness”

Retirements aren’t the only thing they have in common. Not only did their family members play in high school together, Haslem and Brown played for Florida teams. Brown played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his final season while Haslem spent his career with the Heat.
They also made sure to give back to the Miami communities throughout their careers. In the past, Brown has provided for back-to-school kids and Haslem donated to Miami First Responders. Haslem also launched The Udonis Haslem Foundation to support families in unfortunate communities.
Haslem’s path to retirement was the complete opposite of Brown’s, though. While Haslem scored 24 points in his final game, Brown did something fans will never forget. In the third quarter of a game against the New York Jets, he waved at the crowd and left the field shirtless.
While Brown is currently the co-owner of NAL’s Albany Empire, it is uncertain what Haslem plans to do after retirement. But he will always be a household name in Miami, Florida.
