Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler Receives Some Love In Latest NBA 2K Ratings

In this story:
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is usually considered a borderline pick as a Top 20-25 player.
His recent play has elevated his status, at least in the video game world. Butler was rated No. 13 in the latest NBA 2K ratings. He was given an overall rating of 93, tying him with Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Part of the reason for the high ranking is Butler's play since the NBA All-Star break. He is averaging 26.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, five assists and two steals while shooting 60 percent.
The Heat are now in contention to earn the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference standings and avoid the play-in tournament.
"I would say Jimmy is a generational competitor," Spoelstra said. "When things really ramp up and there becomes way more consequences and pressure, that's when he's going to compete and play at his best. That's an incredible skills set to have. In a league that is probably becoming a little bit younger and players are trying to figure things out, the real competitors can really stand out. Jimmy is at the top of the food chain as a competitor."
