Lakers’ 4-Team Trade Proposal Sends LeBron, Bronny James Out for Combined $259 Million Stars

The Lakers would only trade James if he wants out, but this wouldn't be a bad option if they had to move him.

The Los Angeles Lakers don't have any interest in trading LeBron James. They think that they can be a contender to win the title with both he and Luka Doncic on the roster together.

Trade rumors have been swirling around James after reports emerged of him being unhappy that the Lakers are already ready to turn the page on his era and make Doncic the face of the franchise.

Los Angeles will only trade James if he asks to be moved, since he has a no-trade clause. If they do, this trade proposal from Bleacher Report wouldn't be a bad option for him.

Here is the full trade proposal:

Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: F LeBron James, G Bronny James, 2027 first-round pick (top-2 protected from Dallas Mavericks, via Hornets) and save $27.4 million

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: PG Darius Garland, G/F Max Strus

Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Jarrett Allen

Brooklyn Nets Receive: F Grant Williams, F Dean Wade, 2027 first-round pick (lottery-protected from Miami Heat, via Hornets)

If James were to ask out, Cleveland is a natural landing spot for him. He could go back with his son and still compete for a championship as his career winds down.

The Lakers would be able to get back an All-Star point guard in Darius Garland, which would pair well with Luka Doncic. They could be the guys to build around for the foreseeable future.

Brooklyn would be happy to be in the trade to scoop up another first-round pick. They are far away from being a contender, so any assets they can pick up is good for them.

Charlotte would love to bring in a center like Jarrett Allen. Right now, they don't have a viable starting center on the roster, so he would be a massive upgrade as they try to make the playoffs.

It's still very unlikely that the Lakers end up moving on from James before the season starts. It would be surprising if they decided to trade him, period.

James has roots in Los Angeles, so it would be shocking if he decided to leave right before he decides to retire from the NBA.
