The Los Angeles Lakers are set to take on the Dallas Mavericks for their 80th game of the season on Wednesday.

L.A. will look to inch closer to securing the No. 3 seed in the loaded Western Conference. All they need is two more wins (or some help from other teams) to do just that. L.A. will look to capture the win on Wednesday, which will be an emotional night for everyone involved, including Lakers superstar Luka Doncic.

Still, while that is the case, a win is paramount, and L.A. will be healthy for this matchup.

The Lakers did not include their superstar forward LeBron James, meaning he will play on Wednesday.

Only three players appeared on the injury report on the second night of a back-to-back: center Jaxson Hayes, who is listed as probable; Bronny James Jr., who is listed as questionable; and Maxi Kleber, who is out.

James will play on the second night of a back-to-back. This will be the final back-to-back of the season for the Lakers, and it will be a pivotal game.

L.A. will look to seek their 49th win of the season to remain as the No. 3 seed.

James will look to lead the charge after a solid game against the Thunder. Despite the loss, James led the team in scoring with 28 points on 8-of-19 shooting from the field, seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 35 minutes of action.

In the season, James is averaging 24.5 points per game, 7.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.0 steals while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 38.1 percent in 68 games and 35.1 minutes.

The Lakers enter this matchup as the road favorites with a -4.5 spread. A win will do wonders to catapult them closer to locking up the No. 3 seed in the West.

The Mavericks are 23-27 in conference games. Dallas is 5-8 in one-possession games.

The Lakers have gone 34-15 against Western Conference opponents. Los Angeles ranks sixth in the Western Conference, giving up only 112.4 points while holding opponents to 46.4 percent shooting.

Both teams are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Lakers are averaging slightly better numbers in that span than the Mavericks. L.A. is averaging 118.2 points, 40.7 rebounds, 24.5 assists, 6.6 steals, and 3.4 blocks per game while shooting 48.3 percent from the field. Their opponents have averaged 119.3 points.
