The Los Angeles Lakers brought Luka Doncic in the middle of last season in what was the most surprising trade in NBA history. He was not expecting to be moved.

It was a trade that clearly shook him up. Despite the fact that he played well offensively for the Lakers, you could tell that he was never fully comfortable in his new spot.

Now that he has signed a contract extension with the Lakers, he is going to be in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future. He looks like he's locked in and ready to win.

Los Angeles Lakers Guard Luka Doncic Says He's Finally Comfortable With His Situation

While speaking with Dan Woike of The Athletic, Doncic shared that he is finally comfortable with his future and where he is at.

“I’m way comfortable,” he said with a grin. “Especially going to training camp, you know, having practice with the guys — like I said, it’s a start for me. But I will feel way more comfortable now.”

Having his future secure has to play a big part in him feeling as comfortable as he does. Now that he knows he's not wanted in Dallas and he's very wanted in LA, he can move forward with his life.

Doncic can now solely focus on basketball and staying in shape. He will enter this season in the best shape of his life and with a lot of motivation to show Dallas that they screwed up by giving up on him.
