Luka Doncic 'Impressed' With Lakers Ability to Make Trades Despite Rescinded Deal: Report

In this story:
The Los Angeles Lakers have their superstar for at least the next decade (they hope), and he goes by the name of Luka Dončić.
Dončić, 25, is the newest face of the Lakers franchise and the hope that he sticks around in Los Angeles until he calls his career quits.
Los Angeles is a city of stars, and they hope he can be the face of the Lakers and lead them to many championships, similar to what Lakers greats in the past have done.
Dončić is not only the future, but he is the present. The front office's No. 1 priority is to make him happy.
The Lakers will do and have done all they can to keep Dončić happy, and so far, that has been the case.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Dončić and his camp were impressed with their ability to do their best to bolster their roster prior to the Mark Williams rescinding deal.
“Yet there has been no tangible dismay from the Doncic camp about his new team walking away from the Williams deal. Sources tell The Stein Line that Doncic in his first discussion about roster construction with Lakers vice president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka, told Pelinka that he understood it might take until the summer to make that addition… And came away impressed by how swiftly the Lakers initially moved to try to address that void."
After the Lakers traded for Dončić on Feb. 1, days later, they added Williams from the Charlotte Hornets to bolster their center depth.
Although many thought the Lakers overpaid, they filled a massive void on their team, and it was viewed as a success for L.A. However, the trade was later rescinded after he failed the Lakers' physical assessment.
Although it is a blow to the Lakers' chances this season, L.A. may have dodged a bullet in the process.
Williams has struggled to stay on the court throughout his career, as he's only played in 85 games while missing 127. The 23-year-old has some major health issues, and the Lakers wanted nothing to do with it.
The Lakers will do their best to go as far as they currently constructed; however, they will address their need for a center once the summer approaches.
