Mavs Injury Report: Porzingis One of 12 Available vs. Hornets

After their Monday night game against the New Orleans Pelicans was postponed, the COVID-hindered Dallas Mavericks are set to face off against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.

DALLAS - Following the postponement of their Monday night matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Dallas Mavericks are ready to take the floor once again, as they head to Charlotte to take on the Hornets on Wednesday night.

Dallas will not be at full strength, however, as they ran into an issue with NBA COVID-19 protocols, recording four positive COVID-19 tests, and have five players set to miss the matchup.

Dallas had already listed guards Jalen Brunson and Josh Richardson, as well as forwards Dorian Finney-Smith, and big man Maxi Kleber as out, with at least three of those players testing positive for the virus.

Now, it appears Dwight Powell could have been the fourth positive test for Dallas, as he was downgraded to out on Tuesday's official injury report.

In some good news or the Mavs, it appears that star big man Kristaps Porzingis will make his season debut on Wednesday night, after missing the first nine games of the season following his offseason knee surgery.

Porzingis likely would have made his debut on Monday night, but due to NBA COVID protocols, the game was postponed, with Dallas not having enough players available to take the floor for the game.

With Porzingis now in tow, Dallas will have a total of 12 players available for the Wednesday night tilt, including Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., and James Johnson - each of whom was seen on the team plane Tuesday afternoon.
