Luka Doncic reportedly 'seething' at Mavericks for trading him to Lakers

As are the fans, Doncic is apparently pretty upset with the Mavs.

The Dallas Mavericks lit the NBA world on fire over the weekend by sending megastar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis and some other pieces. Immediately, it was called the craziest and most shocking trade in NBA history, as Doncic is arguably the most accomplished 25-year-old ever.

While Doncic would never admit it, you can tell by his body language in his introductory press conference with the Lakers that he was not happy with the trade. He could say he's "excited for this new journey" as much as he wants, but it was clear to see how he really feels.

ESPN's NBA insider Brian Windhorst confirmed what everyone was thinking about Doncic's feelings toward the Mavericks on an appearance of "Pardon the Interruption." "He betrayed nothing [in Tuesday's press conference], but from what I understand, he's seething at [the Mavericks]... I suspect Mr. Doncic will be looking at all Dallas games very, very closely going forward."

Windhorst also reported, "Their fanbase is seething at their team in a way I've rarely seen before." Dallas fans have been very vocal about how they feel about this trade, blasting the new regime on social media, protesting in front of the American Airlines Center, and something is bound to happen when Dallas returns home to play the Houston Rockets on Saturday.

Their feelings may smooth over when Anthony Davis plays his first game, and it's certainly not his fault this happened, but there is no replacing a player of Luka Doncic's magnitude. Even winning the championship may not help a lot of fans get over the feeling of betrayal.
