WATCH: Viral Interaction Between Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook Before Lakers vs. Nets

In this story:
Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook are two of the most accomplished active NBA point guards. There is a lot of mutual respect between Westbrook and Irving, which was on full display during this viral interaction before Monday night's matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets:
Kyrie Irving: "I knew greatness would be out here early!"

Russell Westbrook: "Somebody gotta do it."
KI: "Some people show up right on time. Does it go unnoticed? Do people appreciate it?"
Russ: "No."
KI: "But we understand."
Russ: "For sure. Yessir."pic.twitter.com/6fXtmZIqK4
This matchup will be on NBATV, so the network's crew captured this incredible moment between the two point guards several hours before tip-off. It has been reposted and shared by multiple outlets already, accumulating over 100,000 views in less than an hour.
These interactions are always great to witness, especially amongst two of the league's most prominent guards over the last decade. Few people get to see the work that NBA players put in behind the scenes, so this was a very cool look into the daily grind that happens before fans are let in the building.
The Lakers and Nets will face off on Monday night in a game that will be without a lot of star power, so both Irving and Westbrook will have even bigger roles on their shorthanded squads. With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant all sidelined, it will be on their team's other players to step up and deliver big time performances. A lot of that will fall on both Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook, and the two players crossed paths hours before the game.
