The Denver Nuggets captured an emphatic road victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals on Friday night with a 117-90 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves to cut the series deficit to 2-1.

Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokić led the way with 24 points apiece, playing like the stars that they are en route to the crucial win.

As anticipated, Murray was met by a chorus of boos from Timberwolves fans in Game 3 after he threw a heat pack on the floor in the direction of an official. Murray was fined $100,000 for his actions.

"[The boos] definitely fueled me during the game," Murray said. "And just keeps me in that mode. So it's fun. I embrace that challenge. I embrace that moment. I probably deserved the boos, so I'm not shying away from it."

As for Jokić, he couldn't help himself when asked about the boos that his star teammate was receiving.

"Who booed him? Maybe I didn't pay attention," he quipped.

The Nuggets are clearly in much better spirits following their Game 3 win. The defending champions will look to even up the series in Sunday's Game 4.
