The Philadelphia 76ers are currently in Colorado for training camp, and received a special visit from Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders. Speaking to the team, Sanders shared a message specifically to Joel Embiid.

"When we came up, MJ wanted that smoke. He wasn't ducking... A lot of folks duck that smoke right now," Sanders said. "They wanna be Tarzan on paper. Don't sell me the game that this is what I'm gonna get, but when I turn on the TV, I don't get that. I don't like that. If [Joel] Embiid is playing the [Nikola Jokic], I wanna see Embiid vs. the Joker. I wanna see that. And [Embiid] goes and gets it. I love it. I love the matchup. I wanna see it."

Embiid and Jokic have had some incredible matchups, and Sanders wants to see more of them. Looking directly at Embiid, Sanders gave this message to him, saying he's going to go get it when he faces Jokic. The purpose of Sanders' message was to speak on the best players taking on the toughest challenges. Not always seeing that in today's NBA, Sanders wants to continue seeing players like Embiid and Jokic go head to head.

There is of course much more to basketball than individual matchups, but the Jokic vs. Embiid matchup is one of the best in the league right now.
