NBA Legend Reacts to Steph Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu All-Star Weekend Battle

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is set to battle WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu in a three-point competition at NBA All-Star Weekend. It's an exciting moment for both players, but also for fans, as they get to see one of the WNBA's biggest stars up against the greatest shooter of all-time.

During a recent episode of his 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks legend Carmelo Anthony shared his in-depth thoughts on the competition, and how big it can be for women's sports.

"I love this concept for the business of basketball and women’s sports," Anthony said. "Because for the longest, women athletes' complaint is, 'Why don’t we get paid the way that [men do]?' So now you get a chance to put somebody on that stage who can actually sell. Put bodies in the seats along with Steph [Curry]. And this is a moment. This is a moment that I think is going to spark some sh-t in sports. For them to do that All-Star weekend - where women's sports is going in the next 7-10 years… It might be bigger than some other sports that’s out there. When you start going at numbers and trajectory and scale and like all of that."

A huge fan of this concept, Anthony is excited to see Curry battle Ionescu at All-Star Weekend in Indiana.
