Zion 3 Shoes Teased Ahead Of Fall Launch

Fans won't have to wait much longer for the upcoming anticipated shoe release.

New Orleans, LA - New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is preparing for the upcoming season and the new release of his Zion 3 shoe. His Jordan Brand signature line is set to debut in September, but fans saw a sneak peek on social media. Current Qatari Basketball League player Franklin Session was seen sporting the new shoes on Instagram.

The third shoe release from Williamson differs in style from the first two. This iteration focuses on containment, court feel, and impact protection. It's noticeably slimmer and more lightweight than its predecessors. There are officially four colorway designs announced for the shoe. The shoe will retail for $140 at launch.

Zion recently visited Paris as part of Jordan Brand's showcase for the Quai 54 Tournament. There Williamson spoke on how special the Zion 3 shoes are to him. "This is crazy. It still doesn't feel real that I have a signature shoe, and here we are with Jordan Brand on my third one," Williamson said.

"The Zion 3 not only tells my story of making it out of the mud, but it is one that I believe many basketball players out there will like because of its low-to-the-ground feel and incredible cushioning."

Zion is looking for a bounce-back season after appearing in only 29 games last season due to injury. He's appeared in 114 career games since being drafted No. 1 overall in 2019 and has made two All-Star game appearances.

His rare skill of size, speed, and athleticism has propelled his game on the court when healthy. Williamson averages nearly 26 points a game, seven rebounds on 60% shooting from the field. His biggest vulnerability is his availability to stay healthy and on the court. He is busy working hard to change that stigma about him and his shoe reflects that. A healthy Zion on the court dominating is shown to line up with favorable sports betting trends these days as he continues to be pivotal to their game plan.

"In one of the early brainstorm meetings, I told the Jordan Brand that I wanted my third signature shoe to really represent my dedication to my craft despite hard times growing up." Williamson told Complex Magazine. "The success I've had so far hasn't just happened because of my natural abilities. I kept saying I had to get it out the mud, you know, I had to really work for everything I have now. When people put on my shoe, I hope they genuinely feel that greatness can come from anywhere, and dreams can be achieved if you work hard enough."
