Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Preview: How to Watch, Injury Reports, Lineups, More

The Houston Rockets will attempt to stay relevant in the Play-In Tournament race amid their Western Conference battle against the Timberwolves.

The Houston Rockets (38-36) will look to bounce back from Sunday's disappointing defeat to the Dallas Mavericks, which ended the team's 11-game win streak. They will attempt to get back to their winning ways Tuesday night during a Western Conference match against the Minnesota Timberwolves (51-23) inside the Target Center.

A victory against the Timberwolves would keep the Rockets on a trajectory of catching the Golden State Warriors for the final spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.

They have fallen behind by two games in the loss column. And with the Warriors riding a five-game winning streak, Houston must try to win at least six of their final eight games in hopes of catching their long-time rival.

Bouncing back against the Timberwolves will not be easy, given that Minnesota has established itself as one of the league's best teams. Despite falling to the Chicago Bulls in their previous games, the Timberwolves have won seven of their last nine games.

"Easy, just put it behind us and look for the next one," Jabari Smith Jr. said. "Season not over, so just keep playing. We try to win every game; you can't win them all. We lost this one, just put it behind us. It isn't going to get any easier from here. Thinking about that, we got to go to a tough environment in Minnesota, so we got to put it behind us and get ready for the next one."
