Spurs Fiesta 5: Victor Wembanyama Face of San Antonio Rebuild

In this story:
1. WEMBY'S WORLD "Everything now revolves around Wembanyama and maximizing his enormous talents, and that means slow-playing it this year and simply evaluating everyone on the roster through the lens of what they can do alongside Victor," UPROXX writes.
2. SPURS VALUE LOW, BUT NOT FOR LONG "They may currently sit towards the bottom of the league in value, but if you could buy stocks in NBA franchises, I could provide a pretty safe tip. Put whatever you have in the Spurs."
3. SMILING TO STARDOM "On the basketball court, I’m just having fun," Branham told reporters after being drafted 20th overall in 2022, and to no one's surprise, with a smile on his face. "Off the court, I’m a smiling, laughing kind of person.”
4. BIG YEAR FOR BARLOW "Not only does he have the height, but he's proven capable of making plays and being a facilitator at the same time. His pull-up shot from midrange fell a majority of time, helping the Spurs to easy points on offense while sending back multiple opposing shots."
5. UDRIH COACHING HERD A former member of the San Antonio Spurs is heading back to the G League.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Wisconsin Herd, G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, is hiring former point guard Beno Udrih as its new coach.
Udrih, 41, played 13 seasons in the NBA and was part of the Spurs' 2005 and 2007 championship rosters.
