NBA, Suns Fans React to New Uniforms

Earlier this morning, the Phoenix Suns unveiled new Icon and Association uniforms as the 2023-24 season slowly draws closer.

"The uniform sets are a modernization of the classic sunburst uniform of the early ’90s paired with design elements of the previous Icon and Association Edition uniforms introduced in 2017," said the team's official press release.

“The sunburst is an iconic design that is one of the most popular among Suns fans; it represents some of the most defining moments in our team’s history,” said Phoenix Suns Chief Executive Officer Josh Bartelstein.

“These new uniforms seamlessly blend the nostalgia of the past with the excitement of the future as we begin the next great era of Suns basketball.”

Before we get into NBA twitter, it's safe to say NFL twitter was a fan of the new looks:

The team surveyed fans on previous uniforms, with the rising sunburst design ranking highest among fan feedback. The new Icon and Association Edition uniforms capture the spirit of the popular ’90s sunburst uniforms while embracing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic as the franchise sets its sights on new horizons and the pursuit of its first championship," said the press release.

The last time the Suns unveiled new uniforms was 2018, with Book and Josh Jackson modeling the new look

In 2023, the Suns paid an ode to the most iconic uniforms in franchise history with a modernized sunburst look, with Book, Beal, and KD donning the new look

As long as Booker, Durant and Beal are wearing them, the Suns could have these guys wearing white Fruit of the Loom t-shirts with "Suns" written in Sharpie across the front of them and I'd be happy with the uniforms.😂 😂😂
