Devin Booker Not Elected to 2023 All-Star Game

In this story:
The NBA just announced their All-Star reserves for the Western Conference, and Phoenix Suns SG Devin Booker
Starters for the West are LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Zion Williamson, Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic.
Reserves are Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lauri Markkanen, Domantas Sabonis, Paul George and Jaren Jackson Jr.
Booker has now missed his first All-Star game since 2019.
Booker has played in just 29 games thanks to a groin injury that's kept him out since the opening minutes of the team's Christmas Day loss to the Denver Nuggets. Booker missed the prior three games with the same groin injury but made the push to return for the holiday.
Phoenix has somewhat managed to stay afloat in the race for the Western Conference playoffs, as they initially struggled in the early to mid parts of January before winning six-of-seven games prior to Wednesday's loss to Atlanta.
Thus far, Booker has averaged 27.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists per night on 47.7% shooting. He has two 50+ point games under his belt with a close 49-point performance that nearly followed.
Booker hasn't been the only player to miss extensive time this season. Phoenix has seen nearly every starter aside ironman Mikal Bridges sit out due to injury. Currently, Booker is joined by Cam Payne and Landry Shamet - both out due to foot injuries.
Last season, Booker took home first-team All-NBA honors after making his third-straight All-Star appearance.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski recently reported Booker could make his return on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets. The Suns will begin a five-game road trip tomorrow against the Boston Celtics.
