Suns Unveil New Icon, Association Uniforms

The Phoenix Suns will look quite fresh in these new uniforms moving forward.

The following is a release from the Phoenix Suns:

"The Phoenix Suns today unveiled new Nike Icon (purple) and Association (white) Edition uniforms set to debut in the 2023-24 NBA season. The uniform sets are a modernization of the classic sunburst uniform of the early ’90s paired with design elements of the previous Icon and Association Edition uniforms introduced in 2017."

“The sunburst is an iconic design that is one of the most popular among Suns fans; it represents some of the most defining moments in our team’s history,” said Phoenix Suns Chief Executive Officer Josh Bartelstein.

“These new uniforms seamlessly blend the nostalgia of the past with the excitement of the future as we begin the next great era of Suns basketball.”

In their release, the Suns dove into how the new uniforms were constructed:

"Designed by Centercourt Studios, the in-house creative department of the Phoenix Suns, and in partnership with Nike, the uniforms were developed with Suns fans in mind. The team surveyed fans on previous uniforms, with the rising sunburst design ranking highest among fan feedback. The new Icon and Association Edition uniforms capture the spirit of the popular ’90s sunburst uniforms while embracing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic as the franchise sets its sights on new horizons and the pursuit of its first championship."

Phoenix also revealed there's still one more jersey to be released:

"The Icon and Association Edition uniforms will anchor the team’s uniform rotation for future seasons, and for 2023-24 will join the all-black Statement uniform introduced last season and an unreleased City Edition uniform that will be revealed later this year.

"The uniforms will be available for purchase at the Team Shop at Footprint Center (Team Shop is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday) and online at Shop.Suns.com.

"Fans can enter for a chance to win a jersey through a virtual jersey toss presented by PayPal on the Suns’ website, app or social media channels. More information here."
