Washington (22-years-old) previously played for Phoenix earlier this year when he signed a two-way with the Suns back in August. He started three of the total 31 games he played in Phoenix and averaged 7.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per night.
Washington was waived by Phoenix on Feb. 1 when the Suns decided to bring Saben Lee on a two-way deal after his ten-day contracts expired.
There was some hope that the Suns would hold on to Washington to potentially groom him as a future piece of the backcourt after Chris Paul departed, but Phoenix clearly had other ideas.
Now, Washington lands another two-way deal with the Knicks that are the No. 5 seed in the East with a 36-27 record. Point guards such as Derrick Rose, Jalen Brunson and Miles McBride currently occupy the backcourt for New York.
The Suns didn't have a G League affiliate to send Washington to, but now he could feature for the Westchester Knicks.
Phoenix (33-29) returns to action Wednesday to battle the Charlotte Hornets.
