Report: JaVale McGee Will Sign With Mavericks

Just hours prior, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro tweeted out Dallas had gained major steam in the race for McGee, who reportedly wanted a multi-year deal. Milwaukee was also in the running according to Gambo.
The Suns were reportedly not willing to sign McGee past a one-year contract.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported it was a three-year, $20.1 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, with a player option for the third season.
McGee made $5 million during the 2021-22 season with Phoenix, where he played 74 games for the Suns, averaging 9.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in just under 16 minutes played.
