Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added another accomplishment in his name in the Oklahoma City Thunder history books last week.

In a win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, Nov. 22, Gilgeous-Alexander jumped to third place on the Thunder's all-time leading scorer list, surpassing Serge Ibaka. This does not include the franchise history of the Seattle Supersonics.

In the beginning of his fifth season with the franchise, the guard has 6,123 points and counting as of Nov. 27. The points to surpass Ibaka came within the first four minutes of the win over the Bulls, cementing himself amongst the Thunder's greatest players.

Gilgeous-Alexander now just stands behind Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant on the scoring list, two former MVP winners for the franchise. Westbrook leads with a whopping 18,859 points, while Durant falls shortly behind at 17,566. Both played at least eight seasons with the franchise, almost double of what the 25-year-old has.

It's a long road ahead to surpass either Thunder great, but if Gilgeous-Alexander plays an additional five or more seasons with the team, he has a strong chance to surpass both.

The guard is averaging 30.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.3 steals on 53.4% shooting from the field, 36.4% from three and 93.7% from the free-throw line. He's been near the top of the MVP candidates so far this season, leading Oklahoma City to an 11-5 start in second place of the Western Conference.

While Westbrook has quite the resume to beat out to become Oklahoma City's greatest player, Gilgeous-Alexander one day surpassing his scoring record – and potentially winning an NBA Championship – could cement himself at the top of the Thunder lineage.
