OKC Thunder Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Inks New Shoe Deal With Converse

The Oklahoma City Thunder have seen star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ink a new shoe deal with Converse ahead of Sneaker Free Agency.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (57-25) have been led by superstar guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The MVP Candidate is one of the best players on the court and recognizable players off the floor. With his fashion sense, commercial appearance piling up and constant shoe deal talk, Gilgeous-Alexander is a hot commodity.

As his brand continues to grow, Gilgeous-Alexander will be staying put, inking a multiyear deal with Converse to continue to be his exclusive shoe dealer. This pact comes baked in with a signature shoe deal guaranteed sooner rather than later.

Gilgeous-Alexander has been sporting Converse since 2020 and will not see a signature shoe drop in 2025 with the title of Creative Director for the brand's basketball branch.

Recently, the Thunder superstar has been featured in an ad campaign bringing back the classic Weapon X sneaker.

Oklahoma City's superstar is in the running for the MVP award and will surely have a top three finish after placing fifth for last season's award. This will mark back-to-back seasons for Gilgeous-Alexander being tabbed as a first-team All-NBA player.

During the 2023-24 campaign, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.9 stocks per game with otherworldy efficiency shooting 53 percent from the floor.

Next up for the Thunder star will be his first NBA Playoff run as the No. 1 option for a team, carrying Oklahoma City to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. The Thunder will either play the New Orleans Pelicans or Sacramento Kings in a series that tips off on Sunday in the Paycom Center.
