Draymond Green's Status vs. Memphis Grizzlies Revealed

The Golden State Warriors will be getting Green back vs. Memphis

After a 16 game absence, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is set to make his return on Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Green was of course suspended by the NBA for his shot to the face of Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, and has not played in a game since.

That incident came all the way back on December 12th in Phoenix, and the Warriors have gone just 8-8 in their 16 games without Green. While this record is not too staggering, considering this is right around where the Warriors have been all season, they have certainly missed Green‘s presence on the court.

Availability, primarily due to suspensions, has been Green's only major issue this season. Converting on a career-high 42.9% from deep this season, Green had been knocking down shots at a very high clip while also doing everything else he usually does at a high level.

The Warriors need to turn their season around sooner rather than later, as they will enter Monday nights game against the Grizzlies as the 12th seed.

While Green's return does not fix all of Golden State's problems, it does give them another big piece both on and off the court. The Warriors have a lot of work to do, but they can start it the right way with a win over the Grizzlies on Monday.
