As teams made their final NBA trade deadline moves, the Golden State Warriors stayed put, keeping their core together. While it never seemed likely that Klay Thompson would be dealt, his play this year and contract situation led to some rumors about the possibility, which he was asked about following Golden State's win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.

"I don't partake in NBA discourse on the internet," Thompson said. "I think that's such a waste of energy."

These comments were of course prior to the deadline, and Thompson was ultimately not moved. This was his preferred outcome, as he also got honest about his future with the Warriors during this media session, saying he wants to remain in Golden State.

"That is correct. Good assessment," Thompson said when asked if the preference is to remain with the Warriors longterm.

One of the biggest storylines for the Warriors now that they did not make any major trades, is how they can turn this season around internally. Steph Curry spoke on his following Golden State's win over Indiana, saying he is comfortable with what they have in their locker room.

Thompson shared that same confidence prior to the deadline saying, "I see Steph Curry. I see Draymond [Green]. I go home and check our playoff record as a trio... I believe. I will always believe."
