LeBron James' Status for Warriors vs. Lakers Revealed

The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are set to face off on Saturday night, and both teams have released their injury reports for this game. For the Lakers, they are listing LeBron James as questionable with a left ankle injury.

James has been listed on the injury report with this ankle injury quite a bit this season, and while he has typically played despite the injury designation, he did recently miss a game due to this ankle issue. Because of this, James' status will be one to watch.

Both the Warriors and Lakers are not where they want to be in the standings, as Golden State is currently the 12th seed, while the Lakers are the 9th seed. Tied in the loss column, Golden State and Los Angeles enter this game with 23 losses each, but Golden State has four less wins than the Lakers do.

This is a very important game at this point in the season, because the Lakers and Warriors are both competing for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. The Lakers sit 3.5 games back of a playoff spot, but they do currently own a spot in the play-in tournament. As for the Warriors, they are two full games back of a play-in spot, and 5.5 games back of a playoff spot.

While there is still a lot of season left, both the Warriors in the Lakers need to turn things around sooner rather than later if they want to earn a spot in the playoffs. This is especially true for Golden State, who has a serious uphill battle in front of them.
