After slippage from the teams around them helped vault the Golden State Warriors back into 5th place, the team has taken this opportunity and ran with it. Winners of their last four games, the Warriors have been hitting their stride while superstar point guard Steph Curry nears his return from injury.

Picking up a huge win over the LA Clippers on Thursday night, the Warriors maintained their hold on the 5th seed, while also securing at least a tie of the season series with LA. After the game, Steph Curry posted a reaction on Twitter to his team's big win.

It was announced during the broadcast that Curry is expected to make his return from injury on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers. It has been a rollercoaster season for Golden State, with injuries magnifying their often mediocre play, but this recent stretch has provided some real reason for optimism that this group has a chance.

Adding Curry back to a group that has been surging could be the perfect recipe for success. Despite all they have endured this season, the Warriors still have a shot at home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, sitting just one game behind the Phoenix Suns for the Western Conference's fourth seed.

It has been a wild year for Golden State, but things are starting to look up, and they are getting even better soon with the return of Steph Curry.
