Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break, but it now sounds like he will miss some time beyond the break as well. This was always a likely possibility, but Curry was able to confirm it when speaking with the media before Monday night's game vs. the Washington Wizards.

"It's all dictated on how this heals," Curry said when asked about a potential timetable. "This is different from the shoulder, where it was pretty predictable where I'd be able to get to a point where I could play and not re-injure it or put myself in jeopardy. This is different, because ligaments can heal all different type of timelines. So it's like a window for each checkpoint. After the All-Star break I want to hopefully get back on the court, and then depending on how things go from there you start to key in on a specific day to get back."

When asked if it is fair to assume he will miss a chunk of games after the All-Star break, Curry said, "I don't know how you define a chunk, but yeah. I won't be playing against the Lakers on that first game back."

It wasn't a concrete update from Curry, but it did give fans some clarity. The superstar point guard will continue his rehab, but do not expect to see him immediately after the All-Star break.
