Steve Kerr Gives Concerning Injury Update on Draymond Green

In this story:
After being initially listed as questionable vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ruled out shortly before game time. When asked about Green before the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that he experienced a setback with his knee, and will be receiving an MRI to further evaluate the severity.
"It flared up today," Kerr said. "So he will be more thoroughly checked out today by our medical staff. It was sort of unexpected. The way he came through treatment yesterday it was looking good, and the he had a setback today. So we'll learn more today, and we'll have more for you tomorrow."

Kerr added that Green will likely receive an MRI, which will give the Warriors a clearer indication on if he will need to miss more time. Needless to say, this is a concerning update for the Warriors, as they cannot afford any more injuries to their top players. Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins have both missed extended time this season, and both are out currently as well. Should Green be forced to miss extended time, it could be a season-ending blow for a Warriors team that sits just one loss above the 11th seed Lakers.
While the Warriors are in danger of falling below the play-in picture, they also have their sights set on escaping it as well. One loss above the 11th seed, the Warriors are also just one game below the 6th seed. Any outcome is possible for the Warriors at this point, which makes the health of their top players that much more crucial.
