Warriors Give Injury Update on Key Player

In this story:
The Golden State Warriors are just having that type of season this year. One after another, a new player seems to get injured or leave the rotation. This time, it looks like it's Jonathan Kuminga.
Kuminga was unexpectedly ruled out of the game against the Memphis Grizzlies after spraining his ankle in warmups. According to the Warriors' post-show broadcast, Kuminga left the arena in a walking boot. His x-rays were negative, which is great news, but leaving in a walking boot is never good.
Per the @NBCSWarriors postgame show Jonathan Kuminga left the arena in a walking boot. His x-rays were negative but no word on a recovery timeline after JK sprained his ankle during warmups ahead of tonight's game. The dubs just can't catch a break. #DubNation

The Golden State Warriors need all the help they can get right now. The team has lost three games straight and is in serious danger of falling back into the play-in tournament. Golden State has the same exact record as the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves, and one loss would put them into the 8th seed. The Warriors continue to have more road games than home games coming up, and really need to start figuring things out immediately.
While there's no timetable on when Kuminga will return, the Warriors still have Steph Curry. This team will always have a chance to win games with Steph Curry in the lineup, they just have to start playing better defense. There needs to be a real sense of accountability and communication between all of the players on the team to start increasing their awareness. Hopefully, that starts against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.
