Why The Wizards May Finally Beat The 76ers Tonight

The Wizards May Get Lucky Tonight In Philadelphia

Tonight, the Wizards return back to basketball again now that the NBA In Season Tournament has come to an end. It has been a fun ride despite the Washington Wizards not being a part of the In Season Tournament fun. Congratulations to Lebron James and the LA Lakers as they have won it all.

Now, the Wizards are getting back to the hardwood themselves taking on Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. Things have not gone the Wizards way this year when playing the Sixers as the Sixers have beaten them in both matchups thus far this season. The Wizards are hoping to get a win tonight in Philly as Joel Embiid has appeared on the injury report.

The Bottom Line

The Wizards have been getting bullied by Joel Embiid thus far this season as he is averaging 49 points per game against them in two games on 67% shooting from the field. Health has always been his thing throughout his career and health will be a thing for him tonight as he is a game time decision.

That’s good news for the Wizards.

However, the Wizards also have some bad news as well as Daniel Gafford is on the injury report. If Embiid is a go tonight, the Wizards must bring the double team immediately to him even if Gafford is able to play. Embiid has been hurting them single-handedly this year so it’s very important he doesn’t have yet another 50 point game. If Embiid isn’t able to play, the Wizards must be sure to take away all of the other complimentary pieces in Philly such as Tobias Harris and Kelly Oubre Jr and even De’Anthony Melton. Tyrese Maxey is going to get his regardless. He looks like a sure All Star this season. If the Wizards can follow up with those game plans, they may be able to pick up a win in the city of brotherly love tonight.
