Wizards Continue West Road Trip In OKC

Wizards Taking On Thunder In Second Night Of A Back To Back

The Washington Wizards returned from the NBA all-star break with a new attitude and new mindset. Indeed, it has been a challenging season for them as a team. However, one player in particular has had his fair share of struggles night in and night out, Jordan Poole. He was supposed to be the money maker and shot caller this season for them. That was the mindset when the Wizards acquired him. However, he hasn’t looked like himself all season long as he has been their starting shooting guard this year. A lot of his success came to him as a sixth man. Last night, the Wizards decided to do something different as he was removed from the starting lineup and came off the bench. If that plan continues, the Wizards are hoping it will pay off in the end tonight unlike it did last night.

The Bottom Line

Last night, the Thunder played as well as they had a statement win against the LA Clippers. Oklahoma City has solidified themselves as a true contender not just in the Western Conference, but in the entire league. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander looks like the league’s MVP this season too. This game will certainly be challenging for the Wizards. They will need to be physical in this game. Chet Holgren is a big who doesn’t carry a lot of weight. What makes him so effective is the fact that he is so long and tall and has the ability to put the ball on the floor to accompany that soft touch he has with his jumpshot. He too does a lot of things for the Thunder. The Wizards have to keep him off the boards. They have to limit the second chance points by the Thunder. Winning the rebounding margin will be the key to victory for the Washington Wizards tonight.
