Washington Wizards December 2023 Highlights

Here's All The Good Things That Happened In The Month of December

This month the Washington Wizards only won 3 out of 14 games in December but were able to end the year on a semi positive note by winning their second to last game of the month. You may look at the low wins and think there isn't much to highlight this month but here's a few of the positives that happened!

As he did last month Deni Avdija accomplished another milestone earning his 2,000 career point on December 13th during the game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Speaking of career milestones, Tyus Jones also made an accomplishment  in achieving his second career triple-double!

Continuing with the stats, Kyle Kuzma had the highest minutes played for Wizards with 31, the highest points per game with 22.6 and the highest 3-Point field goals per game! He also closed out the month being honored with the NBA Cares Award! (See the video of him being honored above)

On December 13th, The DMV celebrated the Wizards very own, G-Wiz! In-between plays against the New Orleans Pelicans at Capital One Arena, G-Wiz brought out his mascot friends for fun games!

The Wizards made headlines with the news that team may move out of Washington, DC to Alexandria, Virginia. This was seen as a bad idea to some but a great idea to others. Read more here.

Another positive in December was the Wizards played their first nationally televised game this season! Also on the Wizards Instagram page, a few of the players sneakers were highlighted for the month of December.
