READ MORE: Wizards Get Destroyed by Cavaliers
Just two days ago Washington got blown out 140-101 behind big games from Cavaliers guard Max Strus and center Jarrett Allen.
Only Wizards guard Landry Shamet is listed on the injury report for the team.
Let's see how the Inside The Wizards staff views the game tonight.
Gage Sheets: Cavaliers 121 Wizards 110
The performance by Cleveland from three-point range was insanity, and it won't happen again.
Expect the Cavaliers to come back down to earth some from their explosion but that doesn't mean Washington is going to make up the 40 point difference from the other night.
Hopefully the Wizards defense shows more resistance but even Cleveland was shocked how often they had wide open layups.
Unless something extreme happens, the Cavaliers are just a much better team.
Tyrone Montgomery: Cavaliers 127 Wizards 106
The Wizards gave up a lot of points in that last game which resulted in a loss to the Cavs. They failed to defend the three point line all game. They will do a better job in this game. However, they still give up a ton of points every night.
After your team puts up a solid performance like the Cavs did the other night, it’s hard to duplicate that kind of success. That is when you rely on your star to bring home the win. Donovan Mitchell scored 71 points in a game once. With Darius Garland and Evan Mobley out again, it won’t be a surprise if he has a big game tonight.
Washington Wizards Defense is Drowning in a (Jordan) Poole
Darrell Owens: Cavaliers 138 Wizards 111
The Washington Wizards (6-27) are facing the Cleveland Cavaliers (19-15) in the first game of a two-game road trip in Cleveland. This game will be the second of four matchups between Cleveland and Washington this season. The Cavaliers lead the season series 1-0. The Wizards lost Wednesday against the Cavaliers 140-101.
After the Wizards performance on Wednesday, I’m not surprised that we keep hearing trade rumors about some of Washington‘s best players. Kyle Kuzma & Jordan Poole are getting the most buzz around the league. This team can’t stop anyone defensively. They have lost 15 games this season by 10 points or more. Plus they have allowed 130 points or more in 16 games so far.
After losing by 39 points on Wednesday I don’t see them getting that much better. I have the Cavaliers winning 138-111 grabbing their 20th win of the season in the process.
