Wizards Visiting Brooklyn For Matinee Special

In this story:
The Washington Wizards will be in Brooklyn today to take on the Nets. This should be an interesting game. The Wizards won’t have to worry about the defensive actions of Ben Simmons as he is out with a hip injury. This game is considered a key game simply due to the fact that the Wizards are in catch up mode. The Nets are one of the teams that are currently occupying a target goal for the Wizards. That is one of the play in tournament spots. The Nets are a solid team so this won’t be an easy game by any means. The Nets are certainly a play in tournament team while the Wizards are hoping to join that list as well.

The Bottom Line
The Wizards lost a heartbreaker the other night against the Charlotte Hornets in a game that should have been won. Now that the play in tournament is over for the time being, the Wizards will look to bounce back in Brooklyn. They will need to make sure they can be efficient and effective from beyond the ark. It will be difficult to attack the basket with Nic Claxton protecting the paint. The other hard part is the fact that Mikal Bridges is also one of the best perimeter defenders in the league as well. Not to mention, the Nets have just welcomed Cam Johnson back into the lineup too. The Wizards will need to get Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton in foul trouble to completely take them out the game. There’s a difference between looking to attack the basket to score and looking to draw a foul while attacking the basket. If the Wizards can frustrate them looking to get them in foul trouble, that should be the key in the Wizards picking up their third win of the season.
