Former Wizard Joins Contender

In this story:
One of the better additions to the Washington Wizards was when they acquired Danilo Gallinari. He has been quite the player and had quite the career throughout his time in the NBA. His time in Washington didn’t last long as he just didn’t seem to fit the timeline of this team. The Wizards were able to move on from Danilo Gallanari as they found a suitable trade partner with the Detroit Pistons.
Is It Time To Trade Danilo Gallinari?
Gallinari only appeared in just six games with the Detroit Pistons before being released by them. Now that he has cleared waivers, he has already found a new team to play with for the rest of the season. While the LA Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Chicago Bulls were all options he strongly considered, Gallinari ultimately decided to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of the season.

This decision by Gallinari was a no brainer for him to join the Milwaukee Bucks. After starting the season with the Washington Wizards then only to be traded to the Detroit Pistons, it may have appeared that his situation had gone from bad to worst. Joining the Bucks, he instantly joins a contender and has an opportunity to play meaningful basketball this year.

The opportunity to playing under newly acquired Head Coach Doc Rivers certainly played a role in Gallinari signing with the Bucks. However, playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo really enticed Gallinari as he will compliment the former MVP quite well especially in crunch time. Former Wizard Danilo Gallinari may have started the season off rough especially after being traded to the Pistons. However, he will end the season strong as he has joined a contender with the Milwaukee Bucks.
