Former Wizard Nearly Broke NBA Legend’s Record

In this story:
In the world we live in today, nearly every employer wants consistency on a day to day basis. They may or may not ask for much from their employees. When they don’t ask for much, that tends to make the workplace environment a safer and much more comfortable place to be at. It makes life easier to deal with. It also makes doing your job more reasonable and enjoyable too.
Is Daniel Gafford Being Underutilized?
That’s the case with former Wizard big man Daniel Gafford. In Washington, he was asked to do a lot both defensively and on the boards. Now in Dallas, he is simply playing a considerably large role and seems to be an important piece to their puzzle there with the Mavericks.
How the Mavericks and Wizards Are Faring Following Daniel Gafford Trade
With the Mavericks, Gafford seems like a different player both as you watch him play and by looking at his stats. Everything is coming to him at the perfect time as the Mavericks are looking to make a playoff run this season.

While being consistent with his game, Gafford has also been efficient too. In fact, he has been so efficient that he wasn’t even aware of how well he has been playing lately too.

Playing next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving has opened up Gafford’s game tremendously. He is not open on a lot of shots and have easy runs to the basket for put-back layups and dunks and even alley-oops too.

In the NBA, it feels like all records are meant to be broken. Daniel Gafford went on a run that ended the other night on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder. That run was 33 straight field goals made without a miss.

Wilt Chamberlain’s record of 35 lives on. pic.twitter.com/pmC7ON5ZtQ
The NBA record was 35 as Gafford came up just two shots shy of tying the record. The record is held by one of the greatest centers to ever play the game in Wilt Chamberlain. While Gafford came up just three shots shy of surpassing and breaking Wilt’s record, the former Wizard should feel proud to be mentioned in elite company such as the late great Wilt Chamberlain.
