Wizards Missed Out On Something Special

In this story:
One of the hardest things to do in the world today is to leave something or someone behind that was beneficial to you. Often times, we may not have a choice but to do so. Many times, it’s what’s best for both parties. That is the case for the Washington Wizards and Kristaps Porzingis.
Sure, we can say he has missed a lot of games in his NBA Career. But the truth and fact of the matter is who doesn’t miss a lot of games now in the NBA. Former Wizards Guard Bradley Beal just got traded to the Phoenix Suns and he missed the season opener for the Suns due to a back injury. That was two days ago! Now, the Suns will be without Devin Booker as well as he is listed as out for tonight’s game against the LA Lakers due to a sore foot. Injuries or a part of the game now so they say, unless the truth is these guys just don’t want to play.

Porzingis played a good amount of games for the Wizards last season. Over the years, maybe Porzingis just didn’t want to bang his body up too bad because he knew he wasn’t on a championship contender team. Now that he is with the Celtics, he could play in a career high amount of games this regular season.
Kristaps Porzingis put up big numbers and secured the W in his @celtics debut 💪

While with the Wizards, we saw how lethal “The Unicorn” is and can be on a nightly basis. Last night, we saw it again as he played in his first regular season game for the Boston Celtics. He was a main reason why the Celtics went on to defeat his former team, the New York Knicks. KP had 30 points, eight rebounds, to go along with four blocks. He also had five three pointers to go along with that.
We have to give kuddos to the Wizards and their front office for even acquiring Kristaps Porzingis. That was a clever acquisition and it made a lot of sense for them. However, due to their situation of the roster and where they ranked in the league, they had to shake up the roster and start from scratch. If things were different, the Wizards could have been on to something special in the league.
