Joe Flacco calls clock mistake 'stupidest play I've ever made'

Sunday September 7th, 2014

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco acknowledged that he mismanaged the clock at the end of the first half of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

"At the end of the first half, that was probably the stupidest play I've ever made in football," Flacco said, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.

With eight seconds left in the half, Flacco and the Ravens lined up at the 15-yard line for a shot at the end zone. But Flacco instead ran toward the sideline, failed to get out of bounds, and tripped as he attempted to pass. The clock expired.
