Redskins safety Ryan Clark: Russell Wilson is NFL's best player
Washington Redskins safety Ryan Clark called Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson the best player in the league following Seattle's victory over Washington on Monday Night Football.
When Wilson ran through the Redskins defense, helping Seattle secure a 27-17 victory on Monday night, Clark took notice and praised Wilson.
"We got beat by a better team,” Clark said, according to the Washington Post. “We got beat by, as far as I’m concerned this weekend, the best player in the NFL. Russell Wilson made every play he had to make for his team to win, and we didn't."
Wilson ran for a career-high 122 yards and a touchdown and completed 18 of 24 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Clark made four total tackles in the game.
Washington (1-4) goes on the road to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
