Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green attended Friday's practice in a walking boot and will not play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, reports ESPN's Bob Holtzman

Green has been dealing with a big toe injury that he originally sustained during Week 1. The receiver missed Cincinnati's Week 2 game but returned to play against the Titans in Week 3 and against the Patriots last Sunday.

The receiver aggravated the injury on Wednesday in warmups and was carted off the practice field. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said afterwards that Green still wanted to play and does not want to be shut down, but it was reported that Green was doubtful for Sunday.

Green has 17 catches for 314 yards and two touchdowns in three games this season. Last week against New England, Green had five catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.

The 26-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons.
