San Francisco 49ers fullback Bruce Miller was arrested on March 5 on suspicion of spousal battery, KNBR-AM first reported on Monday. Santa Clara, Calif., police later confirmed Miller's arrest to CSN Bay Area.

The 49ers issued a statement from general manager Trent Baalke:

"The San Francisco 49er organization is aware of the matter involving Bruce Miller," Baalke said. "We were disappointed to learn of these reports and will do our due diligence in collecting all relevant information."

A police spokesman told CSN Bay Area that results of the investigation have been forwarded to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office. The charge against Miller was listed as a misdemeanor on the police report.

Miller's arrest is the 11th of a 49ers player since the end of the 2011 season, reportsThe Sacramento Bee. The Santa Clara County District Attorney's office is also currently investigating a hit-and-run case against cornerback Chris Culliver and a sexual assault investigation involving defensive end Ray McDonald.

The 49ers drafted Miller as a seventh-round pick in 2011. Last season, he appeared in all 16 games, rushed six times for 9 yards and caught 18 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns.
