Zach Mettenberger's agent wants the Tennessee Titans to trade him if they do not trade Marcus Mariota, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports.

Titans general manager Ruston Webster told reporters Thursday evening, however, that neither Mariota or Mettenberger will be traded.

The Titans selected Mariota with the second pick of Thursday night's draft but several teams are said to be interested in acquiring him. San Diego Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers declined a contract extension, leading to speculation that San Diego would trade Rivers to acquire Mariota. Chip Kelly, Mariota's college coach and the current coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, is reportedly interested in reuniting with Mariota.

The Titans picked Mettenberger in the sixth round of last year's draft and he started six games last season. Mettenberger threw for 1,412 yards and completed 59.8 percent of his passes. The Titans, who finished with a 2–14 record, lost all six games Mettenberger started.
