Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is officially inactive Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, reports Ed Werder of ESPN.

According to Werder, head coach Mike Tomlin has named Landry Jones the starter and Tyler Murphy will likely be his backup.

Roethlisberger has been out since injuring his knee in the second quarter of a 12–6 win over the St. Louis Rams in Week 3. The veteran was listed as questionable during the week and practiced this week, but was never likely to start.

The Steelers opened the season 2–1 in Roethlisberger’s three starts. He has completed over 75 percent of his passes this season, going 67 for 89 with 912 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

Jones, a third-year player out of Oklahoma, played in his first NFL game last week after Michael Vick left with a hamstring injury. Jones played well over two quarters, going 8 for 12 with 168 yards and two touchdowns on the way to a 25–13 win over the Cardinals.

Jones played in 53 games over his collegiate career, throwing for 16,646 yards and 123 touchdowns.
