The San Francisco 49ers have placed running back Carlos Hyde on injured reserve, ending his season, the team announced on Saturday.

Hyde started the season with 168 yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings in Week 1, but sustained a stress fracture in his foot in Week 7 and has not returned since.

Hyde, a second-year back out of Ohio State, finishes the season with 115 carries for 470 yards and three touchdowns.
