Which college is best represented on Super Bowl 50 active rosters?
The 106 players who earned a spot on the 53-man rosters for the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 hail from 72 different college football programs, with Ohio State leading all schools with five former players set to dress on Sunday.
Ahead of Panthers vs. Broncos, we broke down the schools that are best represented on Super Bowl 50's active rosters.
Ohio State - 5

The alumni of Ohio State's football program include two first-round picks (wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and defensive back Bradley Roby), a seventh-round selection (safety Kurt Coleman) and a pair of former undrafted free agents (guard Andrew Norwell and wide receiver Corey Brown). Carolina claims four of the Buckeyes—Brown, Coleman, Norwell and Ginn Jr.—the largest individual college contingent on either team. Ginn Jr. caught 10 touchdown passes this season, his best by far in the NFL. Roby is the lone Buckeye who will suit up for Denver.
Tennessee - 4

Peyton Manning, a former No. 1 pick, headlines the quartet of former Tennessee Volunteers who will play in the Super Bowl. Defensive end Malik Jackson has been a staple on Denver's defensive front this season, and punter Britton Colquitt is in his seventh season with the Broncos. Offensive guard Chris Scott will suit up for Carolina.
Alabama - 3

Of the three former Alabama players to appear on a Super Bowl 50 roster, only one, wide receiver Kevin Norwood, played under Nick Saban. Norwood, a fourth–round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, has appeared in just one game this season for Carolina. Panthers safety Roman Harper has recorded 73 tackles in the regular season, his most since 2012, and Broncos offensive guard Evan Mathis will suit up against the team that drafted him.
Florida - 3

All three Gators playing in the Super Bowl are members of the Broncos. Offensive guard Max Garcia has started five games for the Broncos in his rookie season, and veteran wide receiver Andre Caldwell caught one pass in both of Denver's playoff victories this postseason. Linebacker Lerentee McCray hasn't recorded a tackle since Week 13 of the regular season.
Georgia - 3

Three former Georgia Bulldogs are on the Panthers' Super Bowl 50 roster. Defensive end Charles Johnson started for Carolina nine times in the regular season and in both playoff games. Thomas Davis recorded 105 tackles, four interceptions and four forced fumbles in the regular season. Veteran Fernando Velasco started one game this season.
Oregon - 3

Panthers tight end Ed Dickson will return to his home state for Super Bowl 50, along with former Oregon teammate and current Carolina teammate Jonathan Stewart. Dickson caught 17 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season while Stewart rushed for just shy of 1,000 yards. Dickson and Stewart will face off against another former college teammate, safety T.J. Ward, who made 61 tackles in 12 regular season games for Denver.
