After falling behind early, the Panthers cut the Broncos’ lead to 10–7 with a touchdown run by Jonathan Stewart in the second quarter

Cam Newton led Carolina down the field, with three passes of at least 12 yards. A pass to Corey Brown and facemask penalty on Aqib Talib set the Panthers up at the one-yard line.

Stewart, who briefly exited the game with a foot injury in the first quarter, jumped over the line for the score.

After the score, Stewart celebrated with a hand jive.
