Former Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball threw his girlfriend across their hotel room in the battery incident that resulted in his arrest on Feb. 5, according to a police report obtained by Deadspin.

The Wisconsin-State Journalfirst reported that Ball, 25, was arrested and jailed on a battery charge after allegedly pushing his girlfriend into a table. The police report confirms the victim’s account:

“[Victim] stated that she was on the bed, near the far wall of the room, [room number], and that Ball had grabbed her and threw her across the room. [Victim] stated that she had struck her leg on what she believes was the table, and that she had been bleeding out of her leg as a result. [Victim] stated that it all happened very quickly and that once she was able to gain her composure, she was lying on the ground and she felt pain to the back of her head and to her leg.”

The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. Police also discovered she had a bruised lip from a previous altercation with Ball, in which he slapped her across the face.

Ball was released from the New England Patriots practice squad after the incident. He previously played two seasons for the Denver Broncos, appearing in 21 games before his release.
